2006 Native Awareness Class Series

The natives of any land are strongly connected to their land, have a place within it. Today, we are largely disconnected from our roots, by not knowing the earth through its other inhabitants and understanding its cycles. There is no better way to reconnect yourself with nature than by adopting the native mindset, developing an awareness of the living world that surrounds you.

As a class we will seek to see through the eyes of a native people, through establishing a dependency on the natural world for food, shelter and material items. We will learn a variety of aboriginal skills that may only seem loosely related to the 'real world', but will forever change your perspective on the world through the best teacher of all--personal experience.
